Moers Festival / Helmut Schlitt

Die Stadt Moers zieht im Zuge der Haushaltssanierung auch die Streichung der Mittel für das gerade erst erfolgreich zu Ende gegangene Moers Festival in Betracht, wie aus einem Arbeitspapier der Stadtverwaltung hervorgeht (Welt Online). Festgelegt, heißt es, sei noch nichts, "es wird gefeilscht". Das Arbeitspapier (hier der Link zum Arbeitspapier) immerhin macht fundamentale Kürzungsvorschläge für den Kulturhaushalt der Stadt. --- Die Stadt Mülheim hat den 2005 verstorbenen Trompeter Helmut Schlitt, Gründer der in der Region bekannten Woodhouse Jazz Band, geehrt, indem sie eine Brücke nach ihm benannte (Der Westen).
