Chris Tarry / Bob Sheppard

Sheppard habe sich auch deshalb entschieden, an der Westküste zu leben, weil er dort einer von wenigen, in New York, aber einer von vielen Tenorsaxophonisten gewesen wäre.

Tarry wrote the short stories featured while studying at the Banff Centre for the Arts. --- Andrew Gilbert thinks that the saxophonist Bob Sheppard, who needs no introduction on the California jazz scene, but should be better known beyond that state (Mercury News). Sheppard decided to settle on the West Coast because there he would be one of few tenor saxophonists instead of being one of many as he would have been in New York.
